Interested in Learning Foot Reflexology?
There are three different options of reflexology courses including: an introduction to reflexology, personal interest with/for family and friends, as well as Continuing Education Training and Professional Certification. I am a Licensed Canadian Reflexology Teacher (LCRT) with Reflexology Association of Canada.
– Core & Foot Reflexology (Certified) – prerequisite to the RCRT (Registered Certified Reflexology Therapist) designation
– Family & Friends Foot Reflexology
– Introduction to Foot Reflexology
The teaching can vary from a basic reflexology workshop that introduces the techniques of foot reflexology for beginning students, continuing with advanced reflexology skills, techniques and strategies that take the place of reflexology to a professional, clinical level, in a five-day intensive class.
For those choosing the professional certification, the training is a hands-on theory and practical training program to become certified in Foot Reflexology. This training will prepare you for challenging the Reflexology Association of Canada Board Exam to be certified as a Registered Certified Reflexology Therapist (RCRT)..This is not mandatory and additional fees will apply. This professional designation is recognized world-wide, as well as with some extended medical providers: League, Sunlife, Greenshield, Blue Cross and Manulife.

Core & Certified Foot Reflexology Course
Reflexology therapies are natural therapeutic methods driven from this study based on the principle that there are reflexes in the body that map to other parts, glands, and organs of the body. Through the application of pressure on these reflexes, reflexology therapy can relieve tension, improve circulation, and support the body’s efforts to function optimally.
This accredited course from the Reflexology Association of Canada is a theory and hands-on practical training program to become certified in Foot Reflexology, with the objectives of:
– Understanding the principles of reflexology;
– Gaining an introductory understanding of how the body systems function;
– Learning to map the body to the feet;
– Learning how to stimulate the various reflexes on the foot for a safe, effective therapeutic treatment.
The course covers the following:
– History and theory of reflexology
– Anatomy and physiology of the human body
– Biomechanics of the foot and foot assessment techniques
– Reflex zones
– Key areas of emphasis for specific conditions in reflexology
– RAC approved reflexology method (following national and international standards)
– Completing a reflexology heath record and treatment charts
– Business and financial information
– Foot reflexology Practicum
– Group and/or individual review time
– 15-hour Home-Study Workbook and exam preparation
– Award of RAC national certificate/diploma
When the student has completed the entire course, a certificate and transcript is presented to the student.
Congratulations, with this, you may practice as a Certified Reflexologist.
Certification involves:
– 35-hours in class instruction
– 25-hours of home study workbook
– 100-hours of case study (50 cases at 2 hours each)
– 3-hours of Mandatory Student Review (preparation for the Practical Exam)
– 2-hours for Written Exam (80% required)
– 2-hours for Practical Exam (80% required)
– Practical Exam – to be completed within one year from the last day of in-person training
To continue on to becoming a Professional Reflexology Therapist, this course will prepare you for challenging the Reflexology Association of Canada Board Exam to be certified as a Registered Canadian Reflexology Therapist (RCRT). As of January 2019, all prospective Professional Members need to pass an RCRT (with both a theoretical and practical component) to qualify to become Professional Members of the Reflexology Association of Canada™.

Family & Friends – Foot Reflexology Course
Gain an understanding of reflexology — the ancient healing method of stimulating the points on the feet to initiate healing in the body, and learn the routine for personal use.
Reflexology is an ancient technique that dates back over 5,000 years. It is a non-invasive and drug-free modality that supports and enhances the body’s own innate ability to balance, repair and restore itself. It is safe for everyone ~ from newborns, children to the elderly.
In this hands-on course, basic reflexology techniques, contraindications, as well as how the body and reflexology are related, are taught in a safe and respectful environment.
This is purely general interest and not accredited. A good way to ‘test it out’ if reflexology is something you want to explore further and are interested in the reflexology field.
Once you have completed this course and feel you are ready to complete the professional certification course, you may enrol within two years.
Cost includes manual and chart. This course is one-full day, with three half-days, learning among participants working on their certification.
$900. A non-refundable deposit of $350 is required with registration.
